Summer is undeniably the season for t-shirts. These versatile and easy-to-wear staples are a must-have, allowing you to flaunt those toned arms and that sun-kissed tan. With an endless array of styles and designs, t-shirts offer something for everyone.
T-shirts come in various lengths, from long to short and even cropped styles. However, finding the ideal length is crucial, as it significantly impacts your overall look.
This article focuses solely on traditional t-shirts, steering clear of the long-line trend.
A t-shirt that's too long can make your body appear wider, as it clings to your buttocks and creates a blocky silhouette. Conversely, a shirt that's too short can lead to unwanted skin exposure - especially problematic if you have a larger belly.
Finding the perfect t-shirt for every body type is tricky since everyone has different shapes and sizes. So, how do you pinpoint the ideal length for your t-shirt?
Try It On: Grab a t-shirt and put it on. Pull it over your head and slide your arms through. Once it’s on, gently pull the hem down.
Check the Front: Stand in front of a mirror and raise one arm as if waving. If you see your belly skin peeking out, the shirt is too short. The ideal length should cover just enough to reveal your waistband, nothing more.
Evaluate the Back: Allow the hem to fall naturally. The shirt should ideally reach the top of your buttocks. You can also use the back pockets of your pants as a guide - the hem should sit about 3 cm above the pocket edges.
So, how many of your t-shirts meet these criteria?
