Let’s delve into celebrity fragrances. While many of these perfumes are often lackluster - sometimes just a name slapped on a bottle - Beckham’s fragrance line stands out with appealing scents and reasonable prices.
The Aqua Classic line revamps the original Classic line launched in 2013, embodying a sporty essence that delivers a clean, fresh vibe. A 60ml bottle of Aqua Classic retails for approximately 650,000 VND.
It’s been a decade since your first fragrance launched. How has your perspective on business evolved over these years?
I believe it’s crucial to remain involved in every aspect of product development, from the initial concept to naming the product and finalizing the packaging design.
The Beckham brand has seen significant growth over the last five years. What do you envision for the next five years? What are your upcoming projects?
First and foremost, I don’t view my career and passions as merely a brand. I played football for 22 years because it was my lifelong dream. My focus is divided among three main areas: my business ventures, the Miami football team (which I have invested in), and my work with UNICEF.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Work hard and never give up. That’s the guidance I received as a child, and it’s something I’ve always kept in mind. Enjoying life and loving what you do is also paramount.
You and Victoria are often referred to as a power couple. Do you discuss your projects with her?
We definitely share advice when needed, but at home, our priority is our kids and cherishing family time together.
If you hadn’t pursued football, what do you think you would be doing instead?
As a child, I could never envision myself doing anything other than playing football. I dedicated myself to achieving that dream, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent so many years doing what I love.
What are your favorite notes in a fragrance?
I’ve always been drawn to fresh scents. Aqua Classic features a vibrant lemon aroma with botanical notes, giving it an energetic and invigorating quality.
Do you prefer using one fragrance, or do you mix it up? Do you have different scents for day and night?
I like to mix things up based on my mood and daily activities, so I often wear multiple fragrances.
