If you’re serious about your hair care routine, chances are you’ve heard of Sea Salt Spray. It’s a pre-styling product (used before your main styling products) that comes with clear benefits: it nourishes, softens, and adds natural volume and texture to your hair, making it easier to style.
For anyone rocking an undercut, Sea Salt Spray is a game changer, especially before blow-drying. It helps make your hair more manageable, allows styling products like wax to absorb better, and gives your hair that natural volume and texture that looks effortlessly cool. But, in Vietnam, these sprays can be both rare and expensive, leaving many without access.
Luckily, I’ve got an easy, budget-friendly DIY Sea Salt Spray recipe that delivers results just as good as the store-bought brands. I’ve tested it on myself for a week and can’t get enough of it! 😄
.
Ingredients:
Argan oil or coconut oil: 1/2 tablespoon
(You can easily find Argan oil on Lazada or grab some pure coconut oil, which is widely available)
Himalayan pink salt: 1 tablespoon
(I bought mine at L’s place on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi)
200ml of warm water
Spray bottle
(Available at most convenience stores in various sizes)
That’s all you need! Simply add the oil and salt to the warm water, pour it into your spray bottle, and shake it up. 😎 You can spray it on damp hair after washing or even use it on dry hair. I usually give my hair 3-4 sprays before blow-drying, and it becomes super manageable - almost like I don’t even need to use wax after.
Make sure to get the Himalayan pink salt with the built-in grinder for the best results.
Both Argan and coconut oils add moisture, repair damage, and protect your hair from the heat of blow-drying and harmful UV rays. Himalayan pink salt, rich in essential minerals, nourishes your hair and exfoliates your scalp. Together, these ingredients make an incredible pre-styling spray that not only helps you achieve great styles but keeps your hair healthy too.
Give it a go, and let me know how it works for you!
